The camcorder itself can shoot in 1080p, but for 3D shooting you'll use a 3D converter lens that splits the left and right side into 960 x 1080 sized images. At the moment you can only watch 3D video when connected via HDMI to a 3D-capable television, but you can edit 3D still images then burn them onto a Blu-ray/DVD disc. Shooting in 2D should be good on this camcorder as well, it can record audio in 5.1 surround sound, and a 3MOS recording system. Video of the launch below.
